Ubicon - Device Icons for UniFi by Tony Virelli

Ubicon lets you assign icons to network clients that UniFi's own fingerprint database doesn't recognize, from a community icon database or your own images.

Open a client's "Change Icon" dialog in the UniFi web admin and Ubicon adds a small icon next to the dialog title; click it to search the community database or upload a custom icon. Once assigned, the icon appears everywhere UniFi shows that client: the clients table, the client detail panel, the view switcher, dashboard widgets, insights/flows, and side panes. A small badge next to UniFi's own logo confirms Ubicon is active on the page.

Manage everything from the Assignments page in Ubicon's settings: every device you have assigned, sorted by name, with a search box that filters by device name, MAC address or icon label. The toolbar popup shows how many devices are assigned, your consoles, and export and import for a full backup.

Optional GitHub sync keeps your assignments and custom icons in a private repository you own, so every browser you connect shows the same icons, with no item limit. It is off until you set it up, takes about three minutes with a free GitHub account, and Ubicon has no server of its own; your data goes to your own GitHub account and nowhere else. Ubicon is a visual overlay only: it never calls the UniFi API and never changes any UniFi setting. It works on unifi.ui.com out of the box, and you can add a local console (UDM, Cloud Key, self-hosted) from Settings with one click when you are on it. If a UniFi update changes the page in a way that breaks Ubicon, a notice tells you and offers a one-click report.

The device database is community-maintained and open to contributions. Suggest a device from the popup, or open a pull request on GitHub.
