New tab page
Ctrl+T now opens Tabdrift's own page instead of Firefox Home, with the cursor already in its search box. Type and press Enter: it's the same search as the overlay, for tabs, history, the web and addresses.

• Shortcuts: the sites Firefox shows on its own new tab page, with your pinned sites first. Pin, edit, remove, or drag pinned sites to reorder them.
• Weather for a place you pick. Off until you turn it on.
• A to-do list that stays in sync across open tabs.
• A focus timer that keeps counting after you close the tab, with an optional notification when a session ends.
• Background: an animated grain gradient with seven presets and full control over shape, colors, grain and speed. Or your own picture with dim and blur, or a plain color.
• Everything is set from Customize at the top right of the page. The gradient holds still if your system asks for reduced motion.

Prefer Firefox Home? Pick it under Settings, Home, New tabs. The rest of Tabdrift keeps working.

Other changes
- Switching to a tab from the new tab page closes the empty new tab, like the address bar does.
- The settings page has a "New tab page" section.

Tabdrift can now search the web and open addresses, and it works on the new tab page.

NEW
- Web search: type a search and press Enter. Put g, b or d before or after it to use Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo, like "g esp32 pinout" or "esp32 pinout d". Pick your default engine in settings.
- Open addresses: type github.com/you/repo, localhost:5173 or 192.168.1.1 and press Enter.
- New tab page support: on the new tab page, other about: pages and addons.mozilla.org, the same shortcut opens Tabdrift from the toolbar.
- On an empty tab, Enter loads the result in that tab instead of opening another one.
- Shift+Enter on a search or address loads it in the tab you're on. Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) opens it in the background and keeps Tabdrift open.

CHANGED
- Pasting a link and pressing Enter now opens it. The clean link and the other copy options are right below it. Quick copy on paste works as before.
- Your open tabs still come first. The search row only moves to the top when nothing else matches, or when you use an engine key.

No new permissions.

New: open several results from one search.

• Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac) opens the highlighted history result in a background tab and keeps Tabdrift open. Your search and highlight stay where they are, so you can arrow down and open the next one. A count in the footer shows how many you've opened.
• Works on history rows and on the "open" rows under Utilities. Add Shift to open a site's last page instead of its front page. Ctrl-clicking a row does the same (Cmd-click on a Mac).
• New setting, "Keep overlay open after opening a link". Turn it on and the keys swap: Enter opens in the background and stays, Ctrl+Enter opens and closes.
• Switching to an open tab still closes the overlay, as before.

History results are now grouped by site.
- One row per site with a page count, instead of every page.
- Enter opens the site's front page. Shift+Enter opens the last page you visited there.
- Right arrow lists a site's pages. Right arrow on a page shows its copy options (clean link, site link, domain, Markdown link). Left arrow goes back.
- New "Site link, no path" option when you paste a link.
- New setting, "Group history by site". It is on by default. Turn it off to list every page.

New: clean up your tabs
- Your tabs are listed as soon as the overlay opens, most recent first.
- Ctrl+D closes the highlighted tab and keeps the overlay open, so you can close several in a row. Each row also has a small x.
- A "Close duplicate tabs" row closes extra copies of the same page and keeps one of each.
- Type a word or site name, then choose "Close all matching tabs". It asks for a second Enter first.
- Pinned tabs are never closed in bulk, and the tab you are on is never closed from its own overlay. Closed tabs can be brought back with Ctrl+Shift+T.
- New setting: List tabs on open (on by default).

New: email and link utilities
- Paste an email into the search overlay to get its domain, root domain and a cleaned address. Enter copies the top result.
- Paste a link to get it without tracking parameters (utm_*, fbclid, gclid and similar), plus its domain, a Markdown link, and a Wayback Machine lookup.
- New shortcut: Alt+Shift+C copies the current page's link without tracking parameters.
- New right-click item on links: Copy clean link.
- New setting: Quick copy. Paste an email or link into the overlay and its main result is copied right away.

Fixed
- The search box could not be typed in on apps like Slack and Claude, because the page kept taking focus back. The overlay now keeps focus while it is open and returns it to the page when it closes.
- Clicking a result with the mouse could miss.
- Pressing the shortcut while the overlay was closing now reopens it.
- Enter while typing with an input method (IME) no longer picks a result.

Everything runs locally. This version adds two permissions: clipboardWrite (to copy) and contextMenus (for the right-click item).

Tabdrift now falls back to your browsing history when nothing in your open tabs matches. Type something, and if there's no open tab for it, matching pages from history show up underneath, marked "history" pick one and it opens in a new tab.

Matching is also fuzzy now, so a typo or two won't stop it from finding the tab you meant.
