SponsorBlock is an absolute necessity for using YouTube. Unfortunately, the Firefox extension at least doesn't seem to work reliably anymore.

Regularly I'm experiencing that although the segments are listed in the timeline, they are not skipped. I cannot reproduce on which circumstances this behavior starts, but it's pretty annoying.

A really fantastic app that I wish someone else would make, but more about skipping annoying sponsor reads and less about policing anything the insanely anal retentive users of SponsorBlock deem to be 'non-content'. This is made by the same people as the soulless DeArrow add-on that lets users basically rename/rethumbnail anything they deem as "clickbait" (which is only based in the actual definition of clickbait 30% of the time) and shares a solid chunk of the same userbase, and it shows.

The entire system of SponsorBlock is based on upvoting and downvoting different segments to try and get the perfect edits. There are are plenty of people doing the Lord's work out there and giving us seemless skips - and really, I don't even mind a choppy skip, i just like that I don't have to click and skip myself. The problem with this is that from what I've seen I'm pretty sure it's only a very small minority that actually go into SponsorBlock and check different segments, because anything they don't agree with is insanely review bombed by those people. I'm also rather sure that all segments are just whatever was first submitted to the video, or what was changed by a mod of some sorts after being reported in their Discord (because yes, of course the only place to get support, report, or anything is a Discord).

Speaking of, this app + DeArrow have basically no moderation, and in some parts have absolutely NO moderation, as confirmed in their Discord! If you want to totally screw up a very small creator's day? Have absolutely at it. It only gets caught if someone reports it, and reports only happen a few times a day at most.
(Disclaimer: Don't do this? Shouldn't have to say that, but I'm saying this to point out that this is a major flaw in the system nobody seems to care about.)

Overall, download the add-on and just turn on sponsor skipping alone. Nothing else in those settings is worth diddly-squat.

Functions poorly (which is to say inconsistently) and expects the user to agree to terms unnecessary to the function of the extension.

SponsorBlock is perfect when you want to skip sponsors directly, I completely love it!

The extention changes the caption language to Arabic and there is nothing you can do about it. Not sure if the developers are arabic and missed this, or if it just because it is the first language in the list, but it is very frustrating. Even more frustrating than the sponsor-sections.
I hope they fix the bug so that i can re-install the extention.
