by sonia, 7 days agoI’m absolutely delighted with how Search on works! I use it extensively both when reading newspapers and when studying from books, and it has been incredibly helpful and time-saving.
I especially appreciate the possibility of adding specific websites and resources — for example, dictionaries and other reference sites — so that I can quickly look up words, meanings, explanations, and additional information while I’m reading or studying.
I also use it with Mapy.cz when I come across a city, valley, river, or other geographical place I’m not familiar with. Being able to open the relevant map or reference site immediately makes reading and studying so much easier.
If I could give it 4½ stars, I would! The one feature I would really love to see is an Import/Export or Backup option for the custom search shortcuts and website addresses. I use Search on in both Firefox and LibreWolf, and having a way to export my customized list from one browser and import it into the other would be extremely useful.
With that feature, I would happily give it 5 stars!

The Import/Export and Backup functionality are great ideas, and I’ll definitely look into implementing them in a future update.
It’s also especially rewarding to know that the original reason I created this extension — to solve a personal need — is proving useful to other users as well. That’s exactly what makes developing it worthwhile.
