Pyxils Download Manager by Pyxils

Pyxils Download Manager hands your browser's downloads to the Pyxils desktop app for Windows, where they download in parallel and survive interruptions.

What it does:

• Catches downloads as they start, so a file you click goes to Pyxils instead of the browser's own downloader.
• Splits each file across several connections at once and reassembles it when it's done.
• Pause and resume anything — including after closing the browser, losing your connection, or restarting your PC.
• Finds video and audio on the page you are watching and offers to save it in the quality you pick, or as sound only.
• Adds a "Download with Pyxils" entry to the right-click menu for links, images and media.
• Keeps working behind a login: cookies for the page you are downloading from are passed to the local app, so files that need a signed-in session still download.
• Shows a small button on a page only when there is actually something to download. Nothing else is ever drawn over the sites you visit.

Requires the Pyxils desktop app for Windows, from pyxils.com.

Privacy: the extension talks only to Pyxils running on your own computer, over Windows native messaging. What you download, and the pages you visit, are never sent to any server.
