JannyAI ClamAV Companion provides optional local antivirus scanning for character cards exported through the JannyAI Character Card Exporter userscript.
When the user enables scanning, exported character-card PNG and JSON data is transferred from the browser extension to a locally installed Native Messaging host. The host uses ClamAV to scan the data before the exporter permits a download.
Scanning is disabled by default.
The companion does not send character-card content to the developer or an external antivirus service. No account is required, and the developer does not collect analytics or sell user data.
The companion requires the separate userscript, Native Messaging host, and ClamAV. It is not a general-purpose browser antivirus extension.

Your choices: Local scanning is optional and disabled by default. You can enable or disable it through the JannyAI Character Card Exporter userscript. When scanning is disabled, the companion does not receive character-card content or start a ClamAV scan.
Scope: This policy describes the JannyAI ClamAV Companion and its Native Messaging host. It does not cover JannyAI, external portrait hosts, Firefox, ClamAV's own independently configured services, or your operating system.
