Fiscaly browser extension — privacy policy

What stays on your device: the extension scans the text of pages you open locally, in your browser, to find Romanian company tax IDs (CUI). Page content, URLs and browsing history are never transmitted.

What is sent to fiscaly.ro: only when you choose to check a CUI (click "Check", context menu, keyboard shortcut or popup search) the extension sends that CUI, a randomly generated anonymous device ID (used for the free daily quota) and the extension version. The server logs each lookup with IP address and user agent for rate limiting and security.

Connected account (optional): if you connect your Fiscaly account, the extension stores a token restricted to the lookup API and your account e-mail locally; they are removed when you disconnect. Lookups made with a Pro/Agency account are saved in that account's history according to the plan's retention.

Local storage: settings, the last 12 checked CUIs and the device ID are kept in the extension's local storage and deleted when the extension is removed.
