Complexity is making false claims about what it can do here. Perplexity recently removed individual message exports in Markdown & DOCX formats. Because of that, I installed the Complexity extension because it advertised "Copy/Export in different formats - Copy individual message or the whole thread in markdown". I found out that this claim is false, for one, because Complexity doesn't offer the option to export individual messages at all, only the whole thread. Then when I tried to run the "Export Thread" Plugin it didn't export anything at all, instead flashing "Failed to download" or "Failed to copy" error messages on the screen next to the export button itself. These errors occur whenever I try to export or copy "all messages" to Markdown format (the only supported format), with or without citations. Perplexity already offers WORKING entire-thread exports in multiple formats (Markdown, PDF, DOCX), so why would we use Complexity for this anyway?

Other quirks & failures - Complexity gives me 2 themes to choose from, not 4 like in their ads, and neither of the 2 themes apply when selected. The "Message Text-to-Speech" Plugin? Doesn't work at all as there is no TTS option anywhere to found after it's enabled.

To top it all off, some of Complexity's so-called features have already been incorporated into Perplexity's apps & web interface (Unified Model Selector & Table of Contents to name two). This suggests that Complexity may be a dead project.

I won't bother trying all of Complexity's Plugins because many of them appear to be useless & nothing else has worked. I've wasted enough time on this extension just to add a privacy risk to my Perplexity data. Not only is Complexity completely useless, it's potentially damaging. Uninstalling now.

This extension broke a while ago. You can change the settings but none of what worked before (like table of contents, TTS on desktop, better export of conversations) shows up anymore.

It gives a good UI experience while you can customize your perplexity web UI with your need and I love most is the unwrap text/code, the contents page hovering on right side and the option for downloading the markdown file

One improvement suggestion is : if possible in the markdown file also add the the option of having the contents too, that could be lot of helpful!!!

Well, I can't find most of the features it says it has so zero for UI....

I dug out my account for mozilla.org/firefox so I could log in and review this plugin. EXCELLENT STUFF. I had been making violentmonkey scripts to fix up things in the interface but this plugin takes things to a whole other level. I mean it's not lifechanging, but there are nice elements to this. Much appreciated!

I can’t say enough good things about the Complexity add-on. Honestly, it’s been the greatest thing to ever happen to Perplexity AI. Since I installed it, everything feels so much smoother and easier to use.

First off, switching between AI models like Claude, GPT-4o, and Gemini is ridiculously simple now. No more clicking around endlessly; it just works. I also love how I can interact with AI-generated content directly in Perplexity without jumping between tabs. It saves so much time and keeps me focused.

The navigation is another huge win. It’s like having a built-in search tool that’s always ready to go. I just type what I need, and boom, it’s there. It reminds me of using Spotlight on a Mac but inside my browser.

As someone who works with code a lot, the improved code formatting is a lifesaver. Syntax highlighting and clean wrapping make everything look professional and easy to read. Plus, being able to customize things like themes and fonts is such a nice touch. Dark mode has never looked better.

One of my favorite features is how easy it is to export conversations. I can save chats as markdown files with proper citations, which makes organizing my work so much easier.

If you use Perplexity AI regularly, you need this add-on. It doesn’t just make things better; it transforms the whole experience. Huge thanks to the developer for creating something this awesome!

Wow! I used to hate Perplexity (despite getting Pro for free for a year), but now thanks to Complexity's model-chooser I love it. Thank you very much, really awesome job!
