For some godforsaken reason it has started muting EVERY youtube video I open. I have no idea why it started doing this, and I had to go to Twitch in order to open their settings. Not that it mattered, I couldn't find something that would have caused that in settings, meaning my only way to get my videos to stop starting muted was to uninstall. Baffling.

Eats too much RAM to show little animations in a Twitch chat, unsure where mistakes happened but most likely when the whole redesign was introduced. No longer an extension I wish to use.

Everything is locked. behind premium features now and the UI rework is absolutely terrible. The only worthwhile features here are the channel point auto-claim, drops, and maybe some extra emojis. Everything else is freemium bloat and has continuously gotten worse over the years.

I ain't mad about devs trying to monetize a wildly successful product, and I ain't even mad about choosing a freemium model. But making the existing free features actively worse, and shoving the paid model in your face at every opportunity is just comically nasty. Y'all ain't a triple A games studio. And even those don't get away with it this audaciously.

BTTV was useful for a good long while. Clear out the nonsense, don't jerk around the user, user is grateful. But a couple of years ago, whoever holds the reins started seeing dollar signs. As of today, somebody has gone full Elon - complete redesign, nag/pester/bully the users into Freemium, baseline functionalities either removed or not findable.

But damn, they loaded in plenty of PREMIUM nonsense. The annoyances and keywords are all the standard garbage - but the vibe as a five-year user has gone from JOIN NOW to WHY AREN'T YOU LOGGED IN YET to WHY AM I NOT MAKING MONEY OFF YOU.

Downright uncomfortable.

This seems to change the timestamps to 12-hour format and I can't find where to change it so it displays in the "correct" way.

i'll set it back to 5 when it works again but i just realized the add-on just doesn't work on Firefox anymore and from the reviews here it seems it has been this way for two months
