Yueci Privacy Policy — effective September 18, 2026

Yueci processes account email, user ID, optional profile name/avatar, passwords or email verification codes for authentication, and locally saved Session credentials. Passwords are sent over HTTPS to the authentication service and are not persistently stored by the extension.

Learning data includes vocabulary, translations, languages, vocabulary groups, saved sentences, notes, learning/mastery state, review counts and dates, preferences, and associated source URLs or page titles. Signing in automatically synchronizes these records with the same account; signing out stops further account synchronization on that device but does not delete local or cloud records. Tokens are used for authenticated requests but are not synchronized across devices as learning records. Floating-button positions and temporary caches are excluded.

Online translation transmits the requested word, sentence or page text and language parameters to Google Translate, Microsoft Translator or MyMemory, including available fallback providers. Supabase provides authentication and account-linked cloud storage. Speech uses locally available browser/system voices. Random installation IDs, client versions, sync cursors and timestamps support synchronization. Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request times and necessary security/error logs. No browser-history database is read or complete browsing history uploaded.

Data is used only for the requested learning features, account synchronization, support and security. We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for creditworthiness or lending decisions. Data may be processed outside your region; HTTPS and account access controls are used, but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Local data remains until removed, storage is cleared or the extension is uninstalled. Cloud data remains while needed to provide the account service. Tombstones and infrastructure backups may remain after deletion to prevent deleted records from reappearing. Uninstalling does not delete the cloud account. You may use local features without an account, sign out to stop sync, export learning records, or request access, correction or deletion by emailing aiyouth23@gmail.com from the account email. Do not send passwords, verification codes or tokens.
