ytfinall Connector by jnracreates

Send YouTube videos, channels, and playlists straight to your self-hosted ytfinall server — a companion extension for the ytfinall project that downloads videos into a Jellyfin media library.

ytfinall Connector adds a "Send to ytfinall" item to your right-click menu. Right-click any YouTube link, video, or thumbnail, and the URL is sent to your own ytfinall server. The server downloads it and files it in your Jellyfin library automatically. No copy-pasting URLs, no switching tabs.

Works on Firefox for Android too. Long-press a YouTube link, copy it, and paste it into the extension popup. Same result as right-clicking on desktop.


This extension is a companion tool. It does not download videos itself and does not connect to any service run by the developer. You must already be running ytfinall (https://github.com/jnracreates/ytfinall) on your own machine or home network, along with Jellyfin. If you do not have ytfinall set up, this extension has nothing to talk to.

• Right-click a channel name or channel link to subscribe to and download that channel
• Detects the URL type automatically and routes it correctly — videos go to your one-off folder, channels go to your channel library
• Works on any page, not just YouTube — right-click a YouTube link anywhere on the web
• Popup interface for pasting URLs manually, which is the primary workflow on mobile

1. Log in with your Jellyfin username and password. The extension sends these only to your own ytfinall server, which returns a session token. Your password is never stored.
2. Your server URL and session token are saved locally in your browser so you stay logged in between sessions.
3. Right-click a YouTube link (or paste a URL into the popup on mobile) to send it to your server.
4. ytfinall downloads the video and drops it into your Jellyfin library, where it appears automatically.

On desktop Firefox, the extension provides a right-click context menu — the fastest way to send a link.

On Firefox for Android, right-click menus are not supported by any browser, so the extension provides a popup where you paste the URL. Both routes send to the same server endpoint and behave identically once queued.

• A self-hosted ytfinall server running on port 6842 (see https://github.com/jnracreates/ytfinall)
• A Jellyfin account on that server
• For mobile use, your server must be reachable from your phone (LAN IP, Tailscale, or a public domain)

• The extension does not host, proxy, or provide any download service
• The extension does not work without a ytfinall server
• The extension does not download videos itself — all downloading happens on your own server
