yt-dlp Bridge for YouTube does not collect, sell, or transmit personal information to the developer or to an analytics service.

When a user explicitly starts a download, the extension communicates with the native helper installed on the user's computer through Firefox Native Messaging. The current YouTube video URL and the user's selected download options are sent to that local helper so that yt-dlp can perform the requested download.

The extension does not send downloaded media to the developer or operate a remote media-download server.

The extension does not collect:

• Browsing history
• Search history
• YouTube account credentials
• Cookies
• Advertising identifiers
• Analytics or telemetry
• Personal profiles

Downloaded files are processed and saved locally on the user's computer.

yt-dlp and FFmpeg are separate third-party software installed and controlled by the user. They have their own licenses and privacy practices.
