YouTube Defaults & PiP Colors by Lobbyx3

YouTube Defaults & PiP Colors makes common YouTube playback choices predictable in Firefox.

FEATURES

• Subtitles default — choose ON or OFF for each newly opened video.
• Relative resolution default — choose MAX, PRE-RES1, PRE-RES2, PRE-RES3 or MIN. The extension selects relative to the quality levels actually available on that video.
• Theater Mode default — choose ON, OFF or NOT SELECTED. NOT SELECTED leaves YouTube's own remembered state unchanged.
• YouTube SPA support — settings are reapplied when YouTube changes videos without a full page reload.
• YouTube embed support — subtitle and quality defaults also apply to supported YouTube embed players.
• Enhanced Firefox native Picture-in-Picture captions — the extension preserves YouTube caption color metadata.

IMPORTANT: Exact colors inside Firefox's native Picture-in-Picture window require a one-time advanced Firefox profile CSS setup. The add-on includes a setup page and the required userContent.css file. The other playback-default features work immediately after installation.

PRIVACY

No analytics, telemetry, advertising, account system or remote code is included. The extension stores only your three playback preferences locally in Firefox. It does not transmit YouTube captions, viewing activity or settings.

This is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
