About this extension

Yasumaro records your browsing history into a local SQLite database (OPFS/WASM) and generates AI summaries — all data stays on your device.

Core features

Automatic history recording — page visits and engagement are captured while you browse. Recording starts only after explicit consent
AI summaries — on-device built-in AI (Chrome built-in Gemini Nano), user-configured cloud providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, and more), or local models (Ollama / LM Studio). API keys are encrypted at rest and each provider's host permission is requested only when you enable it
Full-text search & dashboards — search history, browse by tags / domains / calendar, inspect cleansing diagnostics
Content cleansing — per-site rules strip ads and nav clutter before summarizing; uBlock-style list import supported
Archive — HMAC-signed export/import; optional Obsidian integration via Local REST API

Privacy by design

All records, settings, and keys live in your browser profile — the developer receives nothing
Export files are HMAC-signed and verified on import
No remote code, no eval
