Privacy policy for unflashbang
Effective date: 2026-10-01
unflashbang does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data,
browsing data, or usage data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no
remote server, and no third party involved in any part of this extension.
- browserSettings permission: used only to read and set Firefox's
built-in content color scheme preference
(browser.browserSettings.overrideContentColorScheme). This changes a
browser-level setting, not your page content, and nothing about your
browsing activity is read or recorded. - storage permission: used only to save your own extension
preferences (dark/light/match-system choice) with
browser.storage.local. This data stays on your device, in your
Firefox profile, and is never synced to a remote server or read by
anyone but the extension itself. Uninstalling the extension removes it. - scripting permission: an inert API gate that has no effect unless
you click "Fix this tab now" in the popup. - activeTab (optional, requested only at the moment you click "Fix
this tab now"): grants one-time access to the single tab you're
currently viewing, used to inject one CSS rule into that tab. This
grant is temporary, is not visible to the extension on any other tab,
and nothing persists after you reload the page.
The extension requests no host permissions and runs no content scripts
on pages you visit. It cannot read, modify, or transmit the content of
your browsing.
None. There are no third-party services, SDKs, or network requests of
any kind in this extension.
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds a
feature that touches data), the updated version will be posted here and
in the extension's listing on addons.mozilla.org.
