- Reading dashboard. A new page, opened from the popup's Reading dashboard button or the top of the options page. Switch on "Keep a reading log" there and each chapter you read to the end is counted: its last line on screen, not opened from a comment link, and not before a fifth of its estimated reading time. A chapter that ends on screen counts once the tab has been visible that long. Time on chapter pages is added up from your scrolls, key presses, clicks and touches while the tab is visible, with any gap capped at two minutes. The page shows today, this week and this month, averages, streaks, the last twelve weeks, the last year, month-by-month totals and your fictions. Off by default. Switching it off, or resetting the settings, keeps the log; "Forget reading history" deletes it; Backup exports it. Nothing is fetched.
- Sort a chapter poll by votes. A button beside the poll's title lists the options by share; press it again for the author's order. It shows only once the results do: signed out, or after you vote. No setting, nothing stored, and the vote form is never touched.
- Hide fictions with too few ratings. Royal Road now shows "Too few ratings" instead of stars on many cards, and a minimum rating let them all through. A new filter row, "Too few ratings: Hide", takes them out.
- Fold or hide one-word comments, off by default: "nice", "lol", "+1". Emoji and emoticons around the word are ignored. A second word, a link, or a picture that is not a Royal Road emoticon leaves the comment alone. A few text faces ("D:", "XP") count as a word; ":D" and ":)" do not. The author's comments are left alone unless you apply filtering to the author too, and even then are only collapsed, as is any comment with replies.

Fixed
- Choosing a layout works again. Royal Road now reads an rr_ui_mode cookie and ignores beta-ui-v2, so "Always the new design" did nothing and "Always the old design" could not undo Royal Road's own opt-in. Both now set rr_ui_mode the way Royal Road does. Signed in, your account's Display Mode may override it.
- Two columns and Covers fit Royal Road's rebuilt list card again; below 1280px, Two columns leaves the cards alone. Covers lines up the Following and Favourite marks again.
- Compact no longer hides a fiction page's About section and reviews, or a chapter's show-more.
- Expand all no longer leaves a dead chevron on every blurb.
- The "More settings" link shows in Royal Road's Reading Preferences dialog.
- "(N hidden)" shows on Royal Road's comment count line.
- A link to a comment goes to the comment with "come back to where you stopped" on.
- The "+N chapters" change on a fiction page no longer goes missing.
- Word counts leave out Royal Road's hidden anti-theft sentence, which ran them about fifteen words high.
- Turning off "Trim tags out of titles" puts every title back exactly.

Privacy policy
- Lists the reading log, fiction titles included, and names rr_ui_mode as the one cookie written.

Fixed
- The previous-chapter recap no longer shows the whole chapter. It kept "the last three paragraphs" by counting paragraph elements, and some authors write an entire chapter as one paragraph with line breaks between the others - 23 KB in a single element, all of which counted as one. Paragraphs are now read the way they look: a run of two or more line breaks starts a new one, a single one does not.
- Word counts were short on those same chapters, because a line break contributes no space and the words either side of it merged. One chapter went from 4,034 to 4,159.
- Text an author has hidden is no longer counted or recapped. Some watermark their prose with invisible copyright lines between the words, which the word count read as prose and the recap could have shown you.
- A fiction page stays at the top when you have a default review sort. Royal Road answers a sort change by scrolling its reviews into view, which threw you a long way down the page. It now holds its place for a moment, and lets go the instant you scroll yourself.

Fixed
- The settings page stays where you left it in Chrome. It rebuilt its whole form after every write, so the control you were using was destroyed and replaced mid-change - and Chrome uses the focused element to decide where to hold the page, so it nudged upwards each time you changed a setting. The form is built once now and the controls are updated in place.
- The popup waits for Chrome before closing itself. Opening the settings page returns a promise there, so the window could shut before the request had been accepted, and a refusal went nowhere.

Added
- The settings page and the popup both show which version you are running, read from the extension itself.
