Typeback - Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026. Typeback is a browser extension by Nightdrive Labs that keeps a copy of text you type into web forms so you can get it back after a crash, a closed tab or a failed submit.
What Typeback stores
The text you type into text boxes, text areas and rich-text editors on web pages, with the page address, page title and time. It is stored only in your own browser (the extension's IndexedDB storage) and is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete single drafts or all of them at any time; uninstalling the extension deletes everything. On the free plan drafts older than 7 days are deleted automatically.
What Typeback never stores
Password fields, payment card fields and other fields that look sensitive (card number, CVC, IBAN, one-time codes, PINs, social security numbers), anything typed in private/incognito windows, and anything on sites you pause.
What Typeback does not do
No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no remote code, no selling or sharing of data. Typeback has no server of its own.
Payments (Typeback Pro)
If you start a free trial or buy Typeback Pro, payment and account status are handled by ExtensionPay (privacy) and Stripe (privacy). They receive the email address and payment details you enter; Typeback only asks ExtensionPay whether your account is paid or in its trial period. None of your drafts are ever sent.
