This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or telemetry to any server operated by its developer. Navigation to Twitter/X is redirected before it reaches X, to one of a configured set of Nitter instances — the instance receives whatever a normal visit to that URL would send, nothing added by this extension. The extension separately polls a fixed, parameter-free URL on the Nitter Instance Health service (status.d420.de) roughly every 15 minutes to learn which instances are healthy; this carries no browsing data and is identical for every user. Locally stored only, never transmitted: the cached health data, a short-lived record of instances that recently failed for you, and your preferred instance if you set one.
