About this extension
The Weight of Rain is a systems-survival game about a settlement suspended from a cliff. Water is both a necessary reserve and a moving structural load. Three bays each carry stored water, crew, and fixed ballast. The player's job is to redistribute that load and choose which drains remain open before advancing the next forecast front.
Every rain front adds a different amount of water to each bay. The resulting moment around the anchor line determines settlement tilt and structural stress. Excessive tilt or exhausted anchor integrity ends the watch. Surviving all eight fronts reaches dawn and records the remaining anchor integrity as the local best watch.
The settlement is presented as an animated architectural section rather than a conventional strategy dashboard. Tanks visibly fill, the whole structure rotates under asymmetric load, rain crosses the scene, and the anchor line remains the central visual reference.
