TabSweep – Auto Tab Closer helps you automatically clean up unwanted Firefox tabs while keeping the tabs that matter.

You can choose which tabs should stay open using simple rules:

• Keep all pinned tabs
• Keep the first N normal tabs
• Keep the last N normal tabs
• Keep custom positions such as 1, 3, and 5
• Manually protect individual tabs
• Optionally keep specific websites or domains
• Optionally keep the active tab or tabs playing audio
• Automatically activate the first kept tab after cleanup
• Preview which tabs will be kept or closed before manual cleanup
• Run cleanup manually or automatically at a configurable interval
• Undo the most recent cleanup by reopening closed tabs

Pinned tabs are handled separately from normal tab positions. For example, if two pinned tabs exist and you choose “Keep first 1 normal tab,” both pinned tabs and the first normal tab will stay open.

TabSweep works locally inside Firefox. It does not send your tab URLs, browsing history, settings, or other browsing data to an external server.

Automatic cleanup is disabled by default, so you can configure and preview your rules before enabling it.
