TabFlick keeps your browsing information on your Mac. The extension never sends your tabs, browsing history or previews off your computer.

What it handles: tab titles, URLs, favicons, window and tab state, thumbnail previews, and live-tab signals (media playback, meeting mic/camera state, unread counts) — only to show and manage your tabs in the TabFlick app.

Where it goes: only to the TabFlick Mac app on the same computer, over a local WebSocket at 127.0.0.1 (ports 43117–43121). The app listens on loopback only — unreachable from the network or the internet. TabFlick runs no server that receives your data, and never sells or shares it.

Permissions: access to all websites is needed to capture a preview of the tab you're viewing; page content is not read. A small script runs only on a fixed list of media and messaging sites (YouTube, Spotify, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack, Teams and a few others) to read playback, mic/camera state and unread counts.

TabFlick does not run in private windows. You can remove its data at any time by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it.
