Synology - Download Station Manager by Arhey

Send downloads to your Synology NAS and manage them right in Firefox – without opening DSM.

Adding downloads:
• Send single links or a whole selection by right-click; paste entire link lists into the popup.
• Optionally capture magnet links on HTTP and HTTPS websites. If website access is missing, enabling the option asks Firefox for permission. The toolbar popup closes for the prompt. Your choice stays saved; approval activates capture automatically. If permission is denied or revoked, the option stays on, but capture is inactive. You can grant access later using “Allow website access” in the popup.
• Password field for protected archives.
• When adding downloads, the extension waits up to a minute for the NAS to become reachable.

Managing downloads:
• Follow status, progress and speed, with more frequent updates right after adding.
• Filter, sort and page through tasks.
• Pause, resume and remove one or more tasks. Retry failed tasks individually.
• Remove finished tasks with a single click.
• Configurable notifications and a closing summary. Sign-in and destination folder errors are reported regardless of the notification settings.

Use and settings:
• Set the destination folder and the start tab.
• Save and test the connection, sign out, or reset the settings.
• If Firefox access is missing, select “Allow NAS access” under Settings → Connection. The toolbar popup closes so Firefox's permission prompt is visible. Reopen the extension after granting access to connect.
• Read details of connection problems under Settings → Connection; Firefox's certificate messages are shown in full when available.
• Two-factor sign-in (experimental).
• Keyboard operation and screen-reader support.
• German, English, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian.

Notes:
• If websites that are already open still do not capture magnet links, reload them after granting access.
• Links confirmed as added are removed from the input list. Failed and unconfirmed links stay with a note. If the outcome is unclear, check the task list before sending again.
• Links containing commas are not supported, because Download Station uses commas as a separator.

Requirements:
• A Synology NAS with Download Station and a DSM account with access to the application, plus read and write permission in the destination folder.
• For automatic extraction an administrator must enable the service for the NAS. In addition, every account must switch it on under Download Station → Settings → Auto extract; it is off by default.

Privacy:
Credentials are stored locally and sent only to the configured NAS. No telemetry and no transfer to third parties.
