Sound Master Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 26, 2026

Sound Master adjusts browser audio locally. It does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer or to third parties. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or remote code.

Audio
Chrome captures the selected tab's audio stream only to route it through a local volume control. Firefox adjusts supported audio/video elements locally and uses the browser's native tab mute. Sound Master does not record, save, transcribe, or upload audio. It does not request microphone or camera access.

Tab information
Sound Master accesses open tab titles, addresses, audio/mute status, and tab identifiers to display websites, apply controls to the correct tab, and let you switch between tabs. In Firefox it also checks accessible audio/video elements for mute state. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted by Sound Master or retained as browsing history.

Temporary settings
Firefox keeps per-tab volume and mute information in browser session storage. Chrome keeps active audio settings in memory. Settings reset when the browser session ends; individual settings also reset when their tab closes, and Firefox resets them on navigation. There is no cross-device synchronization.

Third parties
Fonts, icons, and scripts are included in the extension. Sound Master does not load external tracking resources or send network requests to a developer server. Websites you visit and the browser's extension store have their own privacy practices.

Your choices
Use Reset to restore Sound Master's original volume level. In Firefox, reload the page to fully remove an existing Web Audio connection. Remove the extension to stop using it.
