About this extension
SnapDiff for desktop Firefox 153+ helps you capture, compare, annotate, and export screenshots for visual QA. No SnapDiff account or signup is required.
Capture the visible viewport, a selected area, or a full page. Compare expected and actual pages with A/B and highlighted pixel differences for comparable images, or collect 2–5 images in a side-by-side Multi group. Add arrows, rectangles, pen marks, and text, then export PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
Optional bundled axe-core checks save page accessibility findings beside each capture, with JSON report export. Checks cover the loaded main document and open shadow roots, not embedded-frame contents or closed shadow roots. Automated checks are not accessibility certification.
Screenshots, capture URLs/titles, annotations, and optional reports are stored locally in your browser profile, not uploaded by SnapDiff. Exported files may contain private information; share deliberately. Local storage has no application-level encryption or separate unlock password. Removing the extension or clearing its storage removes saved work.
FIREFOX CAPABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS
Firefox supports viewport, area and full-page screenshots; A/B and Multi capture; annotations; image/report exports; local storage; optional accessibility checks; and Pro licensing without a helper application.
Responsive device presets and browser-language simulation are unavailable in Firefox on both Free and Pro. Capture the site's current layout and use its own language controls. This Firefox edition does not offer full Chrome feature parity or real-device testing.
Where supported, Capture screen/window/tab in the installed extension workspace captures one still frame from the browser's native chooser. Available surfaces depend on your browser and operating system. Audio is not requested; sharing stops before preview, and saving is your choice. This is Single capture only, without full-page scrolling or accessibility scanning.
Keep the source tab visible and unchanged during capture. Full-page capture covers the initially loaded height and has image-size limits. Browser-internal and other restricted pages cannot be captured. Incognito/private browsing is not supported. A/B is visual screenshot comparison, not a statistical experiment.
FREE AND OPTIONAL PRO
Free includes every Firefox-supported capture and review capability with 20 completed workflows per month. A completed A/B pair or Multi group counts once. Annotations, retakes, and downloads do not consume extra workflows. Free images include SnapDiff branding and capture timestamps.
Pro is an optional recurring USD 9.99/year subscription, plus applicable taxes, for unlimited workflows and up to 3 browser installations. It adds clean exports, an optional custom watermark name, and show/hide timestamp controls. It renews annually with no trial.
Purchase through the hosted Dodo checkout linked from SnapDiff, then activate a license key. Optional licensing sends the key and installation/license-instance information to Dodo over HTTPS only after the required optional host and data permissions are granted. Screenshots and reports are not sent to Dodo. Free does not require these permissions or a purchase.
