About this extension

Copying a link out of TikTok and feeding it to some other website is a detour. SaveTT skips it by adding its own control to the video you are already watching, and the file lands in your downloads folder a moment later. What you get - the resolution, the codec, video or audio - is decided right then, at the moment you press it.

Clips are saved as an ordinary MP4 file: nothing exotic, it opens in the player you already have.
The clip's original audio track can be pulled out to MP3 when the sound is the part you were after.
Pick the codec for that download: H.264, H.265 (HEVC) or BYTEVC1.
HD or SD is chosen in the same menu, one download at a time.
The control is placed on the TikTok video itself, so there is no second tab and no pasting of links.
Nothing to register for: no account, no sign-up, no licence key.
The whole job is done inside your browser, and no user data is sent anywhere.

TikTok, and only TikTok. SaveTT stays quiet on every other website - it adds nothing to their pages and fetches nothing from them.

Add SaveTT to Firefox, then open the TikTok video you want.
Press the SaveTT control on the video to open its menu.
Select HD or SD and a codec, or take the MP3 option for sound only.
Firefox finishes the download into your usual folder.

SaveTT runs locally in the browser and sends no user data to any server. There is no account, no sign-up, no tracking and no analytics.
