QuickClip for Video lets you cut a short clip out of a YouTube video and save it to your computer as a WebM file, without leaving the page.

How it works
- Open a YouTube video and click the 🎬 button in the player controls.
- Drag the start and end handles on the timeline, or mark them from the current playhead position.
- Preview your selection, then export. The clip downloads as a .webm file.

- Clips up to 60 seconds
- Drag handles, plus -5 / -1 / +1 / +5 second nudges for frame-accurate cuts
- "Start here" / "End here" buttons and the I / O keys for marking in long videos (30 min and up)
- Built-in preview of the selected range before exporting
- Works with YouTube's single-page navigation, so you don't need to reload

Good to know
- The clip is recorded in real time from the playing video, so a 30-second clip takes about 30 seconds to generate.
- Output is WebM only.
- Protected (DRM) content can't be captured.

Privacy
QuickClip runs only on youtube.com and needs no special permissions. It collects no data, makes no network requests of its own, and everything happens locally in your browser.
