Polymarket Simulator — Privacy Policy

IN SHORT: Polymarket Simulator does not collect, sell or share any personal data. Your virtual balance, practice trades and settings are stored only on your own device. The extension has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it never handles real money.

1. About the extension

Polymarket Simulator ("the extension", "we") is a free educational browser extension for practicing prediction-market trading on polymarket.com using virtual play money only. It never connects to a wallet, never processes payments and never places real orders. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The extension has no sign-up or login, and it does not ask for your name, email address, payment details, wallet addresses, location or any other personal data. We run no servers that receive data from the extension, and we have no database of users.

1. Data stored on your device

To make the simulator work, the extension saves the following data locally in your browser using the browser's extension storage (storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Data — Purpose

Virtual balance — Your play-money balance, starting amount and any virtual top-ups. It has no cash value.

Practice positions and history — Simulated trades: the market name and identifier, the outcome chosen, simulated quantities and prices, and timestamps.

Pinned markets — Markets you choose to keep in the panel's list.

Settings — Panel preferences such as collapsed state, panel height, keyboard shortcuts and confirmations.

When you move from the panel to another Polymarket market page, the extension may briefly keep the selected market in that browser tab's session storage so the order ticket can show it after the page loads. This value contains only the market identifier, is deleted as soon as it is used, is ignored after two minutes, and is removed by the browser when the tab is closed.

1. Network requests

To show realistic simulated prices, the extension reads public market data from Polymarket's public services:

• gamma-api.polymarket.com: market titles, outcomes and resolution status.

• clob.polymarket.com: public prices, order books and price history.

These requests only ask for information about markets. They do not contain your practice data, identity, account details or any other personal information. As with any website request, Polymarket's servers receive standard technical information such as your IP address. That information is handled under Polymarket's own privacy policy, not by us.

The extension runs only on polymarket.com. It uses the address of the Polymarket page you are viewing to identify which market to show in the practice panel. It does not read or record your browsing on any other website, and it does not access your Polymarket account.

1. Share cards

• Share cards are images of a practice result, generated entirely on your device. They are only copied to your clipboard, downloaded, or shared when you choose to do so.

• "Share to X" opens X (Twitter) in a new tab with suggested text that you can edit or discard. Nothing is posted unless you post it yourself.

1. What we do not do

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.

• We do not use analytics, cookies or advertising.

• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

1. Permissions

• Storage: saves the local practice data described in section 3.

• Access to polymarket.com: shows the practice panel on Polymarket pages.

• Access to gamma-api.polymarket.com and clob.polymarket.com: reads the public market data described in section 4.

1. Deleting your data

Because all data is stored on your device, you control it completely:

• Start a new run (Balance tab) clears your practice positions and trade history.

• Clear closed history (Stats tab) removes past practice trades.

• Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from your browser.

1. Educational use and disclaimers

Polymarket Simulator is a practice and learning tool only. All balances and trades are simulated, have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged. Nothing in the extension is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

1. Children

The extension is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

1. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a future version of the extension ever handles data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
