Planet Social Redirector: privacy

The extension collects nothing for us. Nothing about your browsing is sent
to Planet Social Marketing, and there is no analytics of any kind inside the
extension.

What it stores, and where

• In this browser: the mission log of broken pages, your redirect rules, the
  addresses you told it to ignore, your business profile if you create one,
  and your console connection details if you set one up.
• For the session only: the last page each tab showed, which is how a broken
  page can say where it was linked from, and the Cerebro feed. Both are gone
  when the browser closes.

The requests it makes, and why

• The site where a break was logged: its sitemap, so a broken address can be
  matched to the page it was likely meant to be. Kept for a day per site.
• The pages your links point to: only when you press Check links in the
  audit bar, and only to read the status each one returns.
• Your own WordPress site: only if you set up a console connection, and only
  when you press Send to console. It carries the page address and the
  measurements shown in the bar.
• planetsocialmarketing.com: a license key check when you enter a key, and
  once a week after that so a lapsed subscription relocks Pro. It sends the
  key and nothing else.
• localhost on your own machine: only if you run the Pods Directory Sync
  tool yourself, to mirror a listing status you set by hand.

Permissions

Access to the pages you open is optional and is asked for inside the
extension, not at install. Turning it off stops the background watching, the
link check and the sitemap lookups. Everything you start by clicking the
extension keeps working.

Removing it

Uninstalling removes everything the extension stored. You can also clear the
log and the badge under Rules and settings, Housekeeping.
