Odoo Office Attachment Preview by Tarmez Al-Arabiya

Preview supported attachments without leaving Odoo Chatter or uploading documents to an external viewer.

Supported formats include DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, Markdown, XML, CSV, TSV, JSON, and LOG. The extension provides local search, navigation, zoom, copy, and printing tools appropriate to each format. It preserves Odoo's original download controls and adds a separate preview action.

Access is granted one Odoo site at a time from the extension popup. Files are requested directly from that site with the existing signed-in browser session and rendered locally. No document content, attachment URL, enabled site, or usage data is sent to Tarmez Al-Arabiya or a third-party viewer.

The extension supports Odoo 16–19 backend Chatter. Legacy Office files, macro-enabled files, files over 25 MiB, and unsupported or encrypted documents are not previewed.
