New icon — a sound wave above the caption line it becomes — drawn separately for the 16 px
toolbar size so it stays sharp there.

New, off by default: save captions as a text file. Turn on Settings > Transcript and
"Save transcript" (toolbar popup, or the down-arrow button on the caption panel) writes the tab's
captions to Downloads as a .txt file, one timed line per caption. Nothing is kept unless you turn
it on, and nothing is ever uploaded.

Fixed: captions stopping for good after changing the speech model or another engine setting.
A stalled recogniser now restarts itself, and if WebGPU is unavailable or stalls, captioning
carries on on the CPU.

New "Use recommended settings" button restores the fastest, most dependable speech settings.
Precision labels now reflect measured speed.
