PREAMBLE

This document on Performance of Software and Acceptance of Risk ("Document") constitutes a legally binding agreement between you ("User" / "Recipient of this Add-on") and Linkumori ("Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using this Add-on or Software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Document in its entirety.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Document is not a software license. It governs your use of the Add-on in addition to, and without replacing or overriding, any applicable open-source or third-party licenses. All first-party and third-party licenses applicable to this Add-on or any of its components continue to apply in full and are not superseded, waived, or modified by this Document.

SECTION 1 — DEFINITIONS

1.1 "Add-on" means a software component or module that extends the functionality of the Firefox web browser and related applications.

1.2 "Software" means the Linkumori application, program, or tool made available for download and use by the Developer, including the Add-on and all associated components.

1.3 "Personal Data" means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data. This may include information that directly identifies you, as well as information that can reasonably be linked to you when combined with other data.

1.4 "Data Fiduciary or Data Controller" means a person or organization that, alone or together with others, determines the purpose and means of processing personal data. In other jurisdictions, a similar role may be called a data controller.

1.5 "User" / "Recipient of this Add-on" means any individual or entity who downloads, installs, accesses, or uses the Add-on or Software.

1.6 "Developer" means Linkumori, the creator and distributor of the Add-on and Software.

1.7 "Remote Rules" means rule files hosted on external, third-party servers and downloaded by the Add-on via URLs specified by the User.

1.8 "Official Version" means any version of Linkumori that has been built and distributed directly by the Developer without modification. Any version that has been modified, repackaged, forked, or redistributed by a third party is considered an unofficial version and falls outside the scope of this Document.

SECTION 2 — RELATIONSHIP TO THIRD-PARTY LICENSES

2.1 This Document does not override, supersede, or conflict with Version 3 of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL v3), which may govern certain components of this Add-on.

2.2 Where this Add-on includes or depends upon third-party components governed by their own licenses, those licenses remain in full force and effect independently of this Document.

2.3 In the event of any conflict between this Document and the GNU LGPL v3 or any applicable third-party license, the terms of those licenses shall prevail with respect to the components they govern.

2.4 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between this Document and the Privacy Policy governing this Add-on, the Privacy Policy and applicable local law shall prevail to the extent of such conflict in the context of data collection and privacy.

SECTION 3 — GEOGRAPHIC SCOPE AND INTENDED USE

3.1 This Add-on is developed primarily with reference to the laws of the Republic of India. The Developer makes no representation that the Add-on is appropriate, lawful, or available for use outside India.

3.2 If you choose to install or use this Add-on outside India, you do so at your own discretion and risk. By proceeding with installation regardless of your location, you fully accept all terms and conditions of this Document, including those relating to the license for this Add-on and any third-party licenses.

3.3 Users outside India are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Add-on complies with all applicable local laws and regulations.

SECTION 4 — ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

4.1 By performing any of the following actions, you confirm your acceptance of this Document in full:

• Downloading the Add-on;
• Installing the Add-on on any device;
• Running or otherwise using the Add-on.

4.2 If you do not agree to this Document, you must not download, install, or use the Add-on.

4.3 By accepting this Document, you further acknowledge and confirm that you are a resident of, and are accessing and using this Add-on from within, the Republic of India. If you are not a resident of or located within the Republic of India, you are not the intended recipient of this Add-on and you proceed entirely at your own risk, subject to Section 3 of this Document.

SECTION 5 — ACCEPTANCE OF ADD-ON BEHAVIOR, LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, AND DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

By installing and using this Add-on, the Recipient of this Add-on acknowledges and agrees to the following:

5.1 Intended Functionality

This Add-on operates as designed under standard conditions. The Recipient of this Add-on accepts that certain website compatibility issues may arise, requiring the Recipient of this Add-on to manually whitelist specific domains or disable the Add-on on a case-by-case basis.

5.2 Optional Features

Certain features are disabled by default. The Recipient of this Add-on may elect to enable such features at their sole discretion. Prior to activation, each feature will be clearly described, and where applicable, an explicit warning will be presented. The Recipient of this Add-on assumes full responsibility for any consequences arising from the enablement and use of such features.

5.3 Features Enabled by Default

Certain features may be enabled by default for the Recipient of this Add-on's convenience. The Recipient of this Add-on may disable such features at any time at their sole discretion. Regardless of which features are enabled or disabled, the Developer does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal or non-personal data from the Recipient of this Add-on's device, browser, or browsing activity, in any form whatsoever.

5.4 Voluntary Use

Use of this Add-on is entirely voluntary. The Recipient of this Add-on is under no obligation to install, retain, or continue using this Add-on at any time.

5.5 Data Collection

The Developer of this Add-on does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal or non-personal data from the Recipient of this Add-on's device, browser, or browsing activity, in any form whatsoever. All Add-on data is stored locally on the Recipient of this Add-on's device. No information is sent to any external servers by the Developer. When the Add-on is uninstalled, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.

5.6 Disclaimer of Warranty

THIS ADD-ON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS ADD-ON, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. THIS DISCLAIMER APPLIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

5.7 Acknowledgment

By proceeding with installation, the Recipient of this Add-on confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms set forth in this Section and in this Document as a whole.

SECTION 6 — REMOTE RULES AND ASSOCIATED RISKS

WARNING: Enabling Remote Rules exposes your device and network to risks beyond the control of Linkumori. Read this section carefully before enabling this feature.

6.1 How Remote Rules Work

The Remote Rules feature is disabled by default. When enabled, the Add-on downloads rule files from URLs specified by the User. Your browser connects directly to those third-party servers to retrieve such files. When Remote Rules are disabled, the Add-on operates entirely offline using only its built-in rules and no external network requests are made.

6.2 Third-Party Data Collection

Those third-party servers may collect standard web server information including, but not limited to:

• IP address and geolocation data;
• Browser type, version, and operating system;
• Request timestamps and access logs;
• Referring URLs and session metadata.

Linkumori does not control, monitor, or store any data transmitted to or collected by such third-party servers.

6.3 Disclaimer of Responsibility for Third-Party Servers

Linkumori is not responsible for the privacy practices, data handling policies, security measures, or conduct of any third-party server from which Remote Rules are fetched. The User is strongly advised to review the privacy policy and terms of any such third-party server before enabling this feature.

6.4 Intended Users

This feature is intended exclusively for advanced users who have full understanding of the associated risks and who maintain complete control over both their physical and virtual infrastructure — including, without limitation, servers that host rules and software that manages server operations. This feature is not recommended for general or non-technical users.

6.5 User as Data Controller

Since this feature is intended exclusively for advanced users who maintain full control over both their physical and virtual infrastructure, the User is the Data Fiduciary or Data Controller for any data processing that occurs through that connection. The User determines the purpose (why they choose to use this feature and what they intend to achieve by connecting to their infrastructure) and the means (how data is collected, handled, and processed within their infrastructure).

Because the User controls both the physical layer (hardware, servers, and network equipment) and the virtual layer (software, operating systems, services, and configurations), every decision about that connection is the User's alone. The User may choose to log connections, restrict them, disable them entirely, or configure them in any way they see fit. Linkumori is simply the instrument through which the User's instructions are carried out; responsibility for lawful use rests entirely with the User.

6.6 User Responsibility When Using Remote Rules

Linkumori is a tool. When the User enables the Remote Rules feature and provides a custom URL, the Add-on simply executes a fetch request as directed by the User. Linkumori does not determine, influence, or control what URL the User adds, what server the User points to, or what data is served. Those decisions are entirely the User's.

By providing a URL, the User accepts that:

• It is the User's responsibility to ensure the URL provided complies with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to data protection and privacy laws.
• It is the User's responsibility to ensure they have lawful authority over the physical and virtual infrastructure behind that URL.
• Linkumori bears no responsibility for the content, legality, or consequences of URLs the User chooses to add.

6.7 Risks of Using Remote Rules

By enabling Remote Rules, the User acknowledges and accepts the following risks:

• Malicious Rules — Rule files downloaded from untrusted or compromised servers may contain harmful, deceptive, or unintended instructions that alter Add-on behaviour.
• Data Exposure — Connecting to external servers may expose your IP address, network identity, and device metadata to unknown third parties.
• Man-in-the-Middle Attacks — Unencrypted or poorly secured connections to remote servers may be intercepted, resulting in tampered rule files being delivered to your device.
• Server Compromise — Even trusted servers may be compromised at any time without notice, causing previously safe rule sources to become dangerous.
• Loss of Control — Remote Rules are not verified or audited by Linkumori; the User assumes full responsibility for any consequences arising from their use.
• Legal and Compliance Risk — Rules fetched from foreign servers may introduce functionality that violates applicable Indian or local laws, for which the User bears sole responsibility.

6.8 Limitation of Liability for Remote Rules

The User enables and uses Remote Rules entirely at their own risk. Linkumori shall bear no liability for any damage, data loss, security breach, legal consequence, or any other harm arising directly or indirectly from the use of the Remote Rules feature.

SECTION 7 — ISSUE REPORTING FEATURE

7.1 The issue reporting feature is an optional, user-initiated tool. Linkumori does not collect, transmit, or store any data through this feature.

7.2 When the report function is used, the Add-on constructs a GitHub issue URL or GitHub search URL entirely within the User's browser. The Add-on does not transmit any data and does not contact any server while constructing this URL. No network request is made until the User explicitly chooses to proceed.

7.3 Before any redirect takes place, the Add-on presents a consent notice, a full preview of the constructed URL in both encoded and human-readable form, and gives the User the option to copy the URL, cancel entirely, or proceed. No redirect occurs unless the User explicitly confirms.

7.4 If the User chooses to proceed to GitHub, their interaction with GitHub is governed solely by GitHub's own Privacy Statement and Terms of Service. GitHub may log data such as IP address, browser type, and URL parameters in accordance with their own policies, regardless of whether an issue is ultimately submitted.

7.5 To the extent GitHub collects, stores, uses, or otherwise processes personal data, GitHub acts as an independent Data Fiduciary or Data Controller for that processing. GitHub does not process that data on behalf of Linkumori, and Linkumori does not determine GitHub's purposes or means of processing. Linkumori has no access to, and bears no responsibility for, any data processed by GitHub once the User's browser navigates to their site.

7.6 If the User submits an issue, any information provided — including additional comments — will be publicly visible on the repository, as it is a public GitHub repository.

SECTION 8 — THIRD-PARTY LINKS

8.1 The Add-on or its popup may reference or display links to external websites, documentation, or resources. These links are provided for informational purposes only.

8.2 Linkumori does not control, operate, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or data handling of any third-party website. Clicking such links will take the User outside the Add-on, and any information provided to those sites is governed solely by their own privacy policies.

SECTION 9 — WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT AND DATA DELETION

9.1 The User may withdraw their consent at any time simply by uninstalling the Add-on. Upon uninstallation, all data stored locally by Linkumori on the User's device is permanently and automatically deleted. No further action is required.

9.2 Since Linkumori does not transmit any data to external servers, there is no remote data to delete.

SECTION 10 — AGE AND LEGAL CONSENT

10.1 Linkumori does not knowingly target users of any particular age group, nor does it collect data from any user regardless of age.

10.2 Many jurisdictions require a minimum age to consent to the use of software or digital services, and this threshold varies by country. If you do not meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, you should not use this Add-on without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

10.3 Regardless of age or consent status, Linkumori does not collect, process, or transmit any personal data.

10.4 In the event of any conflict between this Document and the Privacy Policy or applicable local law regarding data collection and privacy, the Privacy Policy and applicable local law shall prevail.

SECTION 11 — SCOPE AND OFFICIAL VERSIONS

11.1 This Document applies exclusively to Official Versions of Linkumori as defined in Section 1.8 — that is, versions built and distributed directly by the Developer without modification.

11.2 This Document does not apply to unofficial versions. The Developer makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the behaviour, data practices, or privacy implications of any unofficial version. Users of unofficial versions should seek applicable documentation from whoever distributed that version.

11.3 Official versions of Linkumori may be verified against the following distribution channels:

SECTION 12 — MODIFICATIONS TO THIS DOCUMENT

12.1 The Developer reserves the right to update or modify this Document at any time. Continued use of the Add-on following notification of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Document.

12.2 Each version of the Add-on includes its own accompanying Document. The applicable version is distinguished by the version number at the top of this Document. If you upgrade from one version of the Add-on to another, the Document bundled with the newer version will apply.

12.3 Please note that installing a new version, updating, or installing an older version of the Add-on may delete, reset, or modify locally saved settings and customizations. Such changes affect only locally stored data on the User's device and do not involve the collection, transmission, or storage of any personal or non-personal data by the Developer.

SECTION 13 — APPLICABILITY

13.1 This Document applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, provided that it remains compatible with the software license governing this Add-on. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between this Document and the software license, the terms of the software license shall prevail to the extent of such conflict.

13.2 For the avoidance of doubt, all first-party and third-party licenses applicable to this Add-on or any of its components continue to apply in full and are not superseded, waived, or modified by this Document. The Recipient of this Add-on remains bound by all such licenses independently of, and in addition to, the terms set forth herein.

13.3 This Add-on is developed primarily with reference to the laws of the Republic of India. Users in other jurisdictions are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local laws.

SECTION 14 — GOVERNING LAW

14.1 This Document shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

SECTION 15 — TRANSLATIONS

15.1 This Document is written in English. Translations of this Document may be provided in languages other than English. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translated version, the English version may prevail, depending on applicable local law.
