Jira Issue Type Favicon by grilohbg

By default, every Jira tab shows the same generic Jira logo as its favicon making it hard to tell your open tickets apart at a glance. This extension fixes that by showing the actual issue type icon (Bug, Task, Story, Epic, etc.) instead.

How it works:
• Detects when the current tab is a Jira issue page (/browse/KEY, ?selectedIssue=KEY, or /issues/KEY URLs).
• Asks that same Jira site's own REST API for the issue's type icon, using the browser session you're already logged in with.
• Replaces the tab favicon with that icon.
• Keeps working as you navigate between issues without reloading the page, since Jira is a single-page app.

Compatibility:
Works with both Jira Cloud (*.atlassian.net) and self-hosted Jira Server/Data Center — any Jira instance you're already logged into in your browser.

Privacy:
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any data. The only network request it makes is a same-origin call to the Jira site you are already viewing, to fetch the issue type icon. Nothing is sent to any third party or external server.
