HyperTube 1.0.9 — what changed for you

Existing settings are kept. You do not need to set the extension up again. Reload YouTube after updating.

What you will notice
YouTube loads faster and should not freeze. Hiding the home feed and recommended no longer waits until the page has already built a huge grid. HyperTube hides those areas earlier, and it stops YouTube from endlessly loading more hidden videos. The page should feel usable instead of stuck on a spinner.

The toolbar popup opens immediately. It no longer sits on a blank “loading” state. Accent color uses the swatch panel (on Chrome, tap + for a custom color). The popup is still the same size as before: 380×480, with extra settings inside the scroll.

Watch only Subscribed Channels (was “Redirect to Subscriptions”). Turn it on while a video or Short is playing and the tab goes straight to your subscriptions feed. After that, only the homepage keeps auto-redirecting, so you can still watch videos from subscriptions.

Off means off. Turning HyperTube off no longer leaves leftover listeners that could count videos or close a tab.

What stayed the same
Same toggles and the same hiding behavior (home feed, recommended, Shorts, comments, sidebars, and the rest)
Saved choices carry over
Hide home feed and Hide recommended still start on for a new install
Auto-close tab, accent color, and Support are unchanged in purpose
If you are new
Install, pin HyperTube, open YouTube. Home feed and recommended are hidden by default. Open the popup to turn other hides on, or use Watch only Subscribed Channels if you only want the subscriptions list.
