Hover Image Preview does not collect, store or transmit personal data.

・Settings (delay, preview size, the list of disabled domains, and so on) are stored only inside your browser (storage.local) and are never sent anywhere.
・To show a preview, the add-on fetches the hovered image from wherever that image is hosted. This is the same kind of request your browser makes to display any image.
・When EXIF display is enabled, the first 256 KB of that image is fetched from the same host and parsed locally. Parsing happens entirely on your device and the result is never sent anywhere.
・Only if you enable "Turn GPS coordinates into a place name" are the latitude and longitude recorded in a photo sent to the reverse-geocoding service you selected (OpenStreetMap Nominatim or BigDataCloud). Only the coordinates are sent — no page URL and no identifying information. This setting is off by default. Please refer to those services' own privacy policies.
・The add-on never reads or transmits your browsing history, page content, or anything you type.
