Privacy policy for Hip FullPage Screenshot
Hip FullPage Screenshot by byhip.studio
Hip FullPage Screenshot is privacy-first and local by default.
When you explicitly start a capture, the extension may process the visible pixels of the active tab, page dimensions and scroll position required to create the capture, the page title and hostname used to label the capture, and any crop, annotation or export choices you make.
Screenshots and Library data are stored locally on your device using browser storage and IndexedDB. Hip FullPage does not automatically upload screenshots, page content, browsing history, URLs, titles, annotations or Library data to a remote server.
PNG, JPEG, WebP and PDF exports are created locally and are saved only when you explicitly choose to export or download them. Copy places the rendered image on your local clipboard after an explicit action.
The Report Issue feature prepares diagnostic information locally. Page host and title are excluded unless you explicitly choose to include them. Screenshots are never attached automatically. Information is sent only if you explicitly submit the external support form.
The extension does not require an account and does not include cloud sync, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, remote screenshot processing, AI processing or remotely hosted executable code.
Permissions are used only for the extension's core functionality:
- activeTab: temporary access after an explicit capture action.
- scripting: runs the local capture helper on the active page.
- downloads: saves files when you explicitly export them.
- storage: stores local preferences and settings.
- contextMenus: provides secondary capture modes and Library access.
