Genealogy Assistant adds more than 100 powerful tools to the genealogy websites and DNA testing services you already use, including Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, FamilyTreeDNA, 23andMe, FindAGrave, GEDmatch and more. It takes away the "busy work" and helps you focus on uncovering the connections that reveal our fascinating family histories.

Genealogy Assistant connects these individual websites into a unified research platform. Search a person across multiple genealogy websites with a single click, save a record to your family tree without retyping a name, download a DNA match list into a spreadsheet, or jump to any collection, person or test with a keystroke, and much more.

OPEN RESOURCES, PROFILES, TREES AND MORE FROM ANY PAGE

Pressing Alt + Q on any web page (Option + Q on a Mac) opens Quick Search, the fastest way to move around the genealogy sites you use. Type a few letters and it finds record collections in the Ancestry Card Catalog, people in your indexed trees and your DNA tests, and it understands a search written in plain language, such as "John Wright b.1863 in England".

SEARCH ACROSS GENEALOGY PLATFORMS WITH A SINGLE CLICK

On an Ancestry profile, on a record page, and in any family tree, including public trees belonging to other members, a Search button opens a menu of eight genealogy websites, with the person's name, dates, places, parents and spouse already filled in from the page you are on. Hovering over someone in the tree and pressing A opens the same menu without opening their card, and Search All Sites opens all eight at once. MyHeritage profiles and FindAGrave memorials have their own version of the same button.

• Highlight every match at or above the cM threshold you choose, and see at a glance which side each one has been assigned to
• Sort your 23andMe and FamilyTreeDNA matches into your own coloured groups, which neither site offers on its own
• Select every person on a hint or a record with one click, leaving the facts you have already checked as they are
• Save a record to your tree with the name already filled in for you
• Skip 2, 10, 25 or 50 images at a time in the Ancestry and FamilySearch image viewers
• Move around any family tree with single-key shortcuts, including trees belonging to other members
• Download every person in a family tree, a member search or a set of public member trees to a CSV file
• Open any place name on Ancestry in Google Maps, and read an age beside every death date
• See how any two people in your tree are related, by clicking one and then the other

Genealogy Assistant is not a cloud service. Each feature runs locally on your own computer. The extension asks for access to genealogy websites so it can add its tools to the pages you are already viewing, and there is no tracking or analytics of any kind inside it.

PRICING AND ACCESS

Try a fully functional version of Genealogy Assistant free for 30 days. After that it is $39.95 per year, $3.95 per month, or a one-time payment of $59.95 for lifetime access. One account covers all of your own computers and browsers. New tools arrive automatically as they are released, multiple times a week.

Every feature is ready the moment you install it. Clicking the Genealogy Assistant icon in your browser toolbar shows you which tools are available on the page you are viewing, with a toggle for each, so you can keep the ones you use and switch off the ones you do not.
