Full Page Screenshot Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
The short version
Full Page Screenshot runs entirely in your browser. Your screenshots never leave your machine. We collect no browsing data, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.
What happens to your screenshots
When you click capture, the extension scrolls the page, captures each section, and stitches them together into one image — all locally, inside your own browser. The finished file is saved straight to your computer, through the browser's own save dialog or, if you turn that off in settings, into your Downloads folder. Your screenshots are never uploaded, never stored by us, and never seen by anyone but you. We have no servers that receive images, because we have no servers at all.
What the extension stores
Your settings (format, whether to show the save dialog, display choices), your license status, and whether you have used your one free try of hiding private info are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. A capture in progress is tracked in chrome.storage.session, which the browser clears when it closes. None of this is sent to us.
Optional settings sync. If you switch on "Keep settings in sync", your format and save-dialog choice are also copied to storage.sync, which your browser's own sync carries to your other computers signed in to the same profile. That goes through the browser vendor's sync service, not through us. It is off until you turn it on, and it never includes screenshots, pages or your license.
Hiding private info (redaction)
When you black out an area before capturing, the box is painted over the image before the file is created, so an unredacted copy is never saved. In a PDF, links that sit under a blacked-out box are left out of the file too.
Find private info reads the text of the page you are on, only when you press it, and looks for patterns such as email addresses, phone numbers and card numbers. This happens entirely in your browser; the text is never stored or sent anywhere. It only suggests boxes, which you review before capturing.
Copy and the monthly counter
The Copy button puts the finished image on your clipboard, only when you click it. The number of free redacted captures and smart PDFs you have used this month, and how many captures you have made (so we can ask once whether you'd like to leave a review), are counted in chrome.storage.local on your computer and never sent.
The only network request we ever make
If you choose to activate Pro, the extension sends your license key to Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider, lemonsqueezy.com) to verify it. That happens when you activate, and then at most once a day while Pro is on, so that Pro switches off if your subscription ends. If you never activate Pro, the extension never sends it. This is the only outbound network request the extension makes. Your email address, if returned by Lemon Squeezy during validation, is stored locally to display your license status. The request goes to exactly one address, https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/validate, and contains exactly one thing: your licence key. No page data, no identifiers, nothing about what you were doing. You can confirm this by searching the extension's source for fetch( — there is a single occurrence, in common.js.
What we never do
No uploading of screenshots, page content, or images — ever
No browsing history collection
No analytics or usage tracking
No advertising or third-party trackers
No remotely hosted code — every line ships in the extension package and is reviewed by the add-on store you installed it from
No sale or sharing of any data, ever
Permissions
Full Page Screenshot deliberately avoids standing access to the sites you visit. At install it asks for no host permissions. It uses:
activeTab — access to the page you are currently viewing, granted only at the moment you click capture, and only for that tab
scripting — to scroll and measure the page during capture, injected only after you click capture
offscreen — to stitch the captured sections together on a canvas inside your browser
downloads — to save the finished file where you choose
storage — to remember your format preference and license status locally
Optional: access to all sites, for capturing a list of pages (Pro). Capturing a list of addresses you paste needs to open and capture pages you did not click. Firefox only allows that with access to all sites (<all_urls>), so the extension asks for it at the moment you start such a run, and not before. If you decline, everything else keeps working. Each listed page is opened in a background tab, captured and closed. You can withdraw this access at any time in your browser's add-on settings.
Without that optional access, the extension has no standing access to any website. It can only see a page in the moment you ask it to capture that page.
