Free Auto Refresh is a simple and powerful Chrome extension for automatically refreshing webpages and monitoring page changes. Set a fixed or random refresh interval, track refresh activity with live counters, stop refreshing based on time or refresh limits, and automatically detect when specific text or page content appears, disappears, or changes.


Automatically reload any supported Chrome tab at your chosen interval. Set the minimum and maximum interval to the same value for a fixed refresh timer, or use different values to generate a random refresh interval for every refresh cycle.


See your refresh activity directly on the webpage with a draggable on-page counter. It shows the current refresh count and countdown, with quick controls to pause or stop the refresh session.


The extension icon displays the live refresh count for the active tab so you can monitor refresh activity without opening the extension.


Control how long automatic refreshing continues. You can stop after a specific number of minutes, after a specific number of refreshes, or use both limits together.


Automatically stop refreshing when something important happens on the webpage. You can watch for:

Quickly start or stop auto refresh on the current tab using Alt+Shift+R. The shortcut can be changed through Chrome extension shortcut settings.


Get a desktop notification when a page-watching condition is matched so you can quickly know when the information you are waiting for appears or changes.


When a watch condition is triggered, the tab title also flashes to help get your attention even when you are working in another tab.
