ClearCart: Hide Junk on Amazon & Walmart version history - 6 versions
  • Be careful with old versions! These versions are displayed for testing and reference purposes. You should always use the latest version of an add-on.

  • Latest version

    Version 1.12.0

    Released Sep 22, 2026 - 140.43 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
Much stricter junk filtering, and you can now see it working.
    • Catches far more page-one junk: listings with no brand name at all, "list prices" inflated far above the real price, sponsored listings with almost no reviews, and copy-pasted template titles.
    • Fewer real brands caught by mistake: brands with thousands of reviews get credit for it, and more established brands were added to the built-in trusted list.
    • Every hidden listing keeps a visible bar that says why it was hidden ("Hidden: no brand name", "Hidden: inflated list price"). One click reveals it. The toolbar number always matches the bars on the page.
    • The popup shows how many listings were checked, not just how many were hidden. Listings that scored just under the hide line get a small "borderline" tag.
    • New: suggest a brand for the trusted list or the block list. Each hidden listing has a "Not junk? Tell us" link, and the popup links to the same page. Suggestions are reviewed by hand.
    • Pro: Lenient, Balanced and Strict presets now differ in which signals they use, not just a threshold.
    • Pro is on for your first 14 days, no email or card. Then $13 a year, or $29 once for life until December 31.

Still 100% on-device. No data collected.

  • Version 1.10.1

    Released Sep 8, 2026 - 125.69 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
1.10.1 — maintenance release, no new permissions, no new network activity.

    • More accurate "inflated list price" warnings on Amazon product pages. The
warning could pick up a colour or size option's crossed-out price instead of
the product's own list price. It now reads only the product's real list price.
    • Fewer junk listings slipping through on a technicality. A handful of
ordinary words ("Office", "Elite", "Chef") had crept into the established-
brands list, so a junk listing whose title started with one was treated as
    a known brand. Cleaned up.
    • Real brands on Amazon UK, Australia and Canada are recognised properly.
Several were listed in a form that never actually matched.
    • Product pages recognise multi-word brand names the same way search results
do, so trusted brands no longer get a trust warning on their own product page.

Everything still runs entirely on-device. No data is collected.

  • Version 1.10.0

    Released Aug 17, 2026 - 125.67 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
    1.10.0 — August 2026
Fewer real brands hidden outside the US. ClearCart works on Amazon in India, the UK, Australia and Canada, but its list of established brands was almost entirely American — so genuine local brands could get treated as unknown. Added over 1,100 brands across those four countries.
Sponsored duplicates no longer look like copycats. When Amazon showed the same product twice on one page — once as an ad, once as a normal result — ClearCart could count it as two near-identical listings and hide both. It now recognizes them as one product.
"Near-identical listing" is stricter. That label is meant for one product relisted under lots of made-up brand names. A single brand's own pack sizes and colour options no longer trigger it.

  • Version 1.9.9

    Released Aug 11, 2026 - 116.84 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
    What's new in 1.9.9 (since 1.9.3):

    • Sharper filtering by default — the balanced setting now catches more of the borderline junk that used to slip through onto the first page of results.

    • Repairs for recent Amazon and Walmart page-layout changes, including fixes that kept brand detection and price reading accurate after both sites updated their markup.

    • Price history on product pages (Pro): a "Price history" button shows every price you've personally seen for that product — built only from your own visits and stored only on your device.

    • Light & dark mode: the popup now follows your system theme automatically, with a small header button to force either one.

    • A proper welcome: new installs open a short getting-started page, including why "0 filtered" on a clean search is normal and how to confirm filtering is running.

    • Clearer Pro controls: hover explanations on every custom-strictness setting, and "Rate ClearCart" now opens the Firefox Add-ons page rather than another browser's store.

As always: 100% local, no account, no analytics, zero data collected.

  • Version 1.9.3

    Released Aug 2, 2026 - 106.37 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
First Firefox release! ClearCart brings the same 100% on-device junk filter to Firefox that Chrome users already have: gibberish-brand detection, keyword-stuffed-title scoring, clone-listing collapse ("near-identical listing ×N"), house-brand awareness on Amazon and Walmart, click-to-reveal placeholders, and a built-in diagnostics panel. No data collected — the install screen confirms this extension declares no data collection.

Firefox-specific in this version: the background runs as a native event page, the optional Pro/trial flow is fully wired for Firefox, and "Rate ClearCart" links now point to this Firefox Add-ons listing rather than another browser's store.
