About this extension

Check Your Friend shows your friends whether you are studying, taking a break or busy — automatically, based on what you are doing on your computer. This extension lets the Check Your Friend desktop app tell websites apart (YouTube ≠ your learning platform).

What it does
- Reads the address of the active tab and reduces it to the domain (www.youtube.com/watch?v=… → youtube.com)
- Sends that domain only to the Check Your Friend desktop app on the same computer (Native Messaging)

What it never does
- No page titles, paths, query parameters or page contents
- No content scripts, no access to websites, no network requests
- Never in private windows; local and intranet addresses are ignored

You can switch it off or exclude single sites in the popup.
