Ark does not operate a backend, analytics service, or account system. When you select Organise tabs, Ark sends the title and full URL of each eligible non-pinned tab, your classification requirements, and any Knowledge you supplied directly to the model provider you selected. Ark also sends the API key you configured to that provider for authentication. Ark does not read webpage contents.

Supported destinations are OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or a custom OpenAI-compatible HTTPS endpoint that you explicitly configure. Local loopback HTTP endpoints are also supported. Provider-origin permission is requested only from a direct action on Ark's settings page.


API keys, provider settings, classification requirements, and Knowledge are stored in Firefox's local extension storage (browser.storage.local). A small temporary task summary may be kept in session storage while an organisation task runs. Ark does not sync this data or keep a server-side copy.


Ark does not sell user data. The selected model provider receives the data described above and processes it under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Ark does not control the provider's retention practices. Review your provider's policy before using Ark.
