The extension makes no network requests. It has no analytics, AI calls, or cloud sync. Saved comments stay in the browser profile until deleted or the extension is removed. Drafts stay in memory until saved.

When you save feedback, anmerko stores your comment, the page title and full URL, element selectors and captured text, and any screenshot you chose to save. Theme and prompt preamble settings are also stored locally. These records support annotation, page filtering, and prompt/image export. They are not sent to the developer or used for advertising, sale, or credit decisions.

Element capture excludes form values and editable text. Page text, labels, titles, and full URLs can still contain private information. Screenshots include every visible pixel inside the crop, including form contents. Review your export before sharing it.

anmerko does not capture full HTML or source files. It does not modify websites, run an AI agent, or share comments automatically.

You can review, edit, delete, and export saved feedback in the panel. Exported files are separate copies under your control; deleting a comment does not delete a previously downloaded file. Uninstalling the extension removes its local browser storage. There is no automatic transfer between profiles or separate installations.

anmerko's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

There is no persistent all-sites permission.

• Use ordinary HTTP or HTTPS websites. Browser settings, extension stores, built-in PDF viewers, and other protected pages cannot be annotated.
• Element selection supports the top document and open shadow roots. It cannot enter iframes, closed shadow roots, or individual canvas shapes. Screenshot regions can include their visible pixels.
• Selectors may stop locating an element after the website changes. Saved comments and text remain available.
• Comments do not sync across profiles, browsers, or devices. Simultaneous edits to the same comment use the last saved change.
• Mobile uses a bottom sheet; desktop uses a native sidebar or floating panel. Floating panels cannot be freely dragged.

Opening the public help and privacy pages sends normal web requests to Cloudflare, our hosting provider. anmerko adds no analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or forms to these pages. The browser extension does not send your saved feedback to this website.
