Privacy Policy for AI Studio Inpaint

AI Studio Inpaint is a Firefox extension that lets a user edit images for use in Google AI Studio.


The extension handles only images that the user deliberately chooses, pastes, drops, opens from Google AI Studio, or asks the extension to save back to Google AI Studio. Image editing is performed locally in Firefox.

When the user selects Save to AI Studio, the edited image is sent to Google AI Studio through the website's existing upload interface. Google processes that upload under Google's own terms and privacy policy. The extension developer does not receive the image.

The extension reads the clipboard only when the user invokes an image paste action. It writes to the clipboard only when the user selects Copy image or when a direct AI Studio attachment fails and the extension provides the edited image for manual pasting.


The extension does not collect analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, browsing history, prompts, conversations, AI responses, cookies, passwords, account credentials, or payment information. It does not send data to an extension developer server and does not sell or share user data for advertising or profiling.


The extension does not maintain a remote database or retain images on a developer server. Working images exist temporarily in the browser while the editor is open. Clipboard content remains subject to the operating system and the user's clipboard history settings.


The extension runs only on https://aistudio.google.com/. Clipboard permissions support user-requested paste and copy actions. The websiteContent declaration covers the image content the user chooses to edit and, when requested, transmit to Google AI Studio.


If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the extension's Mozilla disclosure must be updated before the changed version is distributed. For a private self-distributed installation, questions may be directed to the person who supplied the signed extension.
