Save your ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude conversations as clean, self-contained files - no account, server, or tracking involved.

AI Assistant Chat Saver adds a single toolbar button that captures the conversation you're currently viewing on chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com, or claude.ai and saves it as an HTML file - with optional Markdown and PDF export - ready to archive, share, or read offline.

Features:

Images embedded, not linked - uploaded and AI-generated images are converted to base64 and baked directly into the HTML file, so it stays fully portable with no broken links, even after the original chat is deleted.
Syntax-highlighted code - code blocks are re-highlighted at save time (powered by highlight.js) with automatic language detection.
Equations preserved - math rendered by the source page (KaTeX) carries over intact into your saved file.
Mermaid diagrams rendered - ```mermaid code blocks are drawn as an actual diagram at save time, with the original source kept in a collapsible section alongside it.
Sidebar contents tree with search - every question becomes a jump-link entry, with any headings in the answer nested underneath; a built-in search box live-filters the conversation and highlights matches, no internet connection needed.
PDF export, A4 by default - equations, mermaid diagrams, tables and code blocks are laid out for print, with tables splitting across pages (header row repeating) and other blocks kept intact where they fit. Each question and any headings in its reply become real, clickable bookmarks in the PDF's outline/sidebar, just like the HTML version's contents tree.
Light/dark toggle built into the saved HTML - defaults to your system setting, with a one-click switch to override it, remembered for that file.
Custom filenames - build your own filename pattern from {title}, {source}, {date}, {time}, and {timestamp} tokens.
Your last-used settings are remembered for next time.

Privacy: AI Assistant Chat Saver does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on any server. Everything happens locally in your browser - the conversation is read from the page you're viewing and written straight to your Downloads folder. No analytics, no accounts, no network requests beyond fetching the chat's own images so they can be embedded in your file.

Note: ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude occasionally change their page layout, which can temporarily affect extraction until the extension is updated.
