About this extension
Autonomous browsing agents and AI copilots can now click "buy," "delete," "transfer," and "deploy" on your behalf — sometimes without you noticing until it's done. Even without an AI in the loop, a stray click on the wrong button causes the same harm.
AgentBrake is a human-in-the-loop safety interlock. On sites you explicitly enable it for, it watches for clicks and form submissions that look high-risk - matched against a keyword list you control (delete, buy now, place order, pay now, transfer, deploy to production, terminate, revoke, disable account, and more) — and pauses the action behind a "Proceed anyway / Cancel" confirmation.
--> Why per-site opt-in:
AgentBrake requests no site access by default. You turn it on for a specific site from the toolbar popup, which triggers a normal one-time browser permission prompt for that site only. Turning it off immediately revokes access.
--> What it doesn't do:
- Makes zero network requests - all matching happens locally
- Does not read, store, or transmit page content or personal data anywhere
- Does not automate or click anything on your behalf — it only pauses actions for your confirmation
