Browser extension "Add to Bookmax"

The extension contains no analytics, tracking or advertising and does not pass any data to third parties.

Saving pages: when you open the sidebar or use the context menu, the address and title of the current page (or of the link you clicked) are passed to the Bookmax save form so that they are pre-filled. A bookmark is only stored in your account when you save it.

Import and export of browser bookmarks: the optional "bookmarks" permission is used only on the Import and Export pages of Bookmax. Browser bookmarks are only read or changed when you start an import or export yourself and confirm it; nothing happens in the background. On import, the selected bookmarks are transferred to bookmax.net over HTTPS and stored in the folder you selected. On export, bookmarks from your account are written into your browser. Before an export replaces anything, the extension keeps a backup in the browser's extension storage so the export can be undone. This backup never leaves your browser.
