AceStudy AI ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices for our Manifest V3 Chrome Extension and associated platform services.

AceStudy AI operates strictly under the principle of single-purpose utility: providing contextual academic reference search, instant AI-assisted study explanations, and unobtrusive exam study workflows.

1. Information We Collect
   A. Account & Subscription Data
   We collect your billing email address during checkout solely to dispatch your purchase receipt and automated UUID license key. Your subscription validity, daily quota limits, and expiration dates are linked to your random UUID license key.

B. Study Materials & Query Data
Study materials (PDF, Word, PowerPoint slides, text files, and code) uploaded to your local Knowledge Base are kept locally in your browser. When you ask a question, the extension searches your notes to provide grounded study explanations. Your uploaded documents and questions are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train public AI models.

2. Third-Party Data Processors
   Payment Gateways (PayMongo & Lemon Squeezy): Securely process financial transactions. We never access or store raw payment card numbers or banking PINs.
   AI Gateways (Google Gemini & OpenRouter): Process academic study queries solely to generate instant answers over encrypted TLS 1.3 channels.
   Infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers & Vercel): Secure, serverless proxy gateway and relay services hosting encrypted license verification.
3. Security & Data Deletion
   All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3 / HTTPS. No secret AI API keys reside in the distributed extension source code. You may request deletion of your account and license records at any time by contacting us.
