AccuKnox Prompt Firewall — Privacy Policy

What the extension does
This extension scans the prompts you send to supported AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft 365 Copilot) and the responses they return, so your organization's AccuKnox Prompt Firewall can apply security and compliance policies.

Data we process
- Prompt and response content from the supported AI assistant pages.
- The email address of the signed-in browser user, used only to attribute activity to a user in your organization's audit records.
- Extension configuration (API key and scan settings) and a local history of scan verdicts.

How data is used and shared
Prompt/response content and the user email are transmitted only to the AccuKnox Prompt Firewall endpoint associated with your organization's account, solely to obtain a security and compliance verdict. Data is not sold, and is not shared with any third party outside your organization's AccuKnox service.

Storage
Configuration is stored in the browser (including enterprise-managed settings deployed by administrators). Scan logs are stored locally in the browser. No browsing history is collected.

Requirements
The extension requires an AccuKnox account and API key. Data handling on the AccuKnox platform is governed by AccuKnox's terms and privacy policy at https://www.accuknox.com.
