About this extension
QuickActions for Proxmox VE puts your entire Proxmox VE cluster in your browser toolbar. See the status of all your VMs and containers at a glance and control them without switching to the Proxmox web interface.
  • Live overview — All guests with status indicator, uptime, CPU and RAM usage bars
  • Power actions — Start, reboot, and shutdown directly from the popup, with confirmation dialogs to prevent accidental actions
  • Snapshots — Create snapshots with one click, automatically named with timestamp
  • Backups — Select specific guests via checkbox and trigger vzdump backups to your configured storage
  • Auto-refresh — CPU and RAM values update automatically (configurable 5–60 seconds, or disabled)
  • 9 themes — Dark, Light, Nord, OLED, Dracula, Catppuccin Mocha, Tokyo Night, Solarized Dark & Monochrome, switchable in the settings
  • Flexible sorting — By name, ID, or status, with optional running-first grouping
  • Cluster support — Multi-node environments supported, backups grouped per node automatically
  1. Create an API token in Proxmox VE (Datacenter → API Tokens) with at least PVEAdmin role
  2. Open the extension settings and enter your Proxmox URL, token ID, and token secret
  3. Click "Test connection" — Firefox will ask for permission to access your server (once)
  4. Select your backup storage from the dropdown
  • Proxmox VE 7+ (tested with PVE 9.2)
  • Firefox 140+
  • API token with permissions: VM.Audit, VM.PowerMgmt, VM.Snapshot, VM.Backup, Datastore.AllocateSpace
