    Version 1.22.80

    Released Sep 21, 2026 - 841.51 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Recorded games now keep your own plays as well as the table's responses, so a saved game holds the full sequence of a match instead of only how each turn ended. Nothing changes in how you play — games recorded from here on just carry more of what happened.

Hover a player in the lobby panel to see how they conduct themselves in recorded games, alongside a direct link to their Melee profile when they have one. The rating reflects behaviour across games Wayfinder has seen, and players without enough recorded games simply show no rating rather than a guess.

Long sessions now upload their capture history reliably. Previously a backlog could build up faster than it drained, so results from a heavy run of games could lag behind; the extension now works through the whole backlog instead of one batch at a time.

  • Version 1.22.78

    Released Sep 16, 2026 - 841.07 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Lockstep Companion release. Firefox match recording is unchanged; this update accompanies grouped iOS player actions and a confirmed new-game flow that preserves saved games and player setup. Games that ended while a new lobby was loading are now recorded instead of dropped: the extension trusts the game log over stale lobby data when deciding who you played.

  • Version 1.22.28

    Released Sep 7, 2026 - 841.11 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes matches being filed under the wrong format, and a scoreline that read 0-0 on games you had clearly won.

If you finished a game and jumped straight into another one, Karabast starts loading the next lobby while the Companion is still filing the game you just played. The Companion was reading the format from whatever lobby was on screen at that moment, so a Premier game you followed with a sealed game got filed as Limited — and the other way round. It now remembers the format of each game as that game begins, so what gets filed is the game you actually played. Matches already filed under the wrong format have been corrected on the site.

Separately, when the Companion could not work out who won a game on its own, it still sent a game record of 0-0. That left matches listed with a winner beside a 0-0 score. The Companion no longer reports a score it did not count.

  • Version 1.22.27

    Released Sep 5, 2026 - 841.02 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes a best-of-three that could be called early.

When a best-of-one game was converted to a best-of-three, the Companion could count the opening game twice and treat the series as finished after only two games. It filed a 2-1 result while the decider was still to be played.

Each game is now recorded exactly once, so a converted series is only reported when it is genuinely over. A game that was opened but never actually played is no longer recorded at all.

  • Version 1.22.26

    Released Sep 5, 2026 - 840.56 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes a bug that could stop a game being recorded at all, and could file one game twice.

The Companion listens to Karabast's live connection to follow your game. If the browser opened that connection before the Companion finished loading, the Companion missed it — and then only tried to catch up during the first few seconds on the page. If you were sitting in a lobby at that moment, which is usually the case, it gave up before your game ever started.

When that happened the game was recorded with none of its live detail, and Wayfinder had no way to tell it apart from the same game recorded by your opponent, so a single match could be listed twice.

The Companion now keeps trying to catch up for as long as it is not receiving anything.

Your Protect the Pod decks are now one click away in Limited games.

A "My PTP Decks" button now sits next to the deck dropdown in Karabast Limited lobbies. Pick a deck you have registered on Protect the Pod and it loads straight into the lobby — no copying deck links between tabs.

The button only appears in Limited lobbies, and only when you are signed in to Protect the Pod.

  • Version 1.22.23

    Released Aug 25, 2026 - 817.66 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Fixes a game that could be played in full and never recorded.

If you were matched with a new opponent right after finishing a game — without leaving the page — the Companion could miss that a new game had started and sit the whole match out. Nothing was saved, and the in-game notepad went on showing the turn number and card knowledge from the previous game, so nothing looked wrong.

The Companion now picks up the new game, and the notepad follows the game actually in front of you: a new game clears what you knew about the last opponent and restarts the turn count. Your opponent's leader and base are shown by name rather than as "Unresolved".

And if a game ever is running without being recorded, you now get a warning instead of silence.

Hovering a Sportsmanship badge now shows that player's own reasons.

The hover used to explain the label in general terms — identical text for every player carrying it, and no help at all in telling you why this particular opponent had it.

It now lists what actually came up in their recent Karabast games, with the number of games behind each one and the date it was last worked out.

  • Version 1.22.20

    Released Aug 23, 2026 - 816.73 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Spectated games are no longer recorded against "Player 1" and "Player 2".

Karabast uses those labels for the seats when it isn't showing you who is playing. The Companion had been treating them as real player names, so games you watched could end up filed under a player who doesn't exist instead of the two people in the match.

The Companion now tells the difference between a hidden name and a name. Those games record honestly as "players not shown", and the real names appear once they're known.

The Wayfinder mark on Protect the Pod cards no longer turns into a broken-image box.

If the Companion updated in the background while you left the browser open, the mark on each card could no longer find its own artwork, and what you got instead was an empty placeholder pinned to the card art. The mark now bows out cleanly, and a message on the page tells you the Companion has updated and the page needs a refresh — on any Protect the Pod page, not only the ones you play on.

  • Version 1.22.18

    Released Aug 23, 2026 - 813.74 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
A game you quit in the first few moments is no longer recorded at all.

Wayfinder used to show two conflicting messages for that — one saying the game didn't count, another saying it had been uploaded — plus a link to a match that never finished loading. There is now a single clear message and nothing lands in your history.

Games that got properly under way are unaffected, and a best-of-three that opens with an early concession still keeps the whole set.

  • Version 1.22.17

    Released Aug 21, 2026 - 813.56 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
This update brings Safari up to date with several capture fixes.

Best-of-3 sets that started as a single game are now recorded in full. When a game ended and the lobby was switched over to a best-of-3, everything after that first game used to be dropped — the set played out, and only the opening game reached your match history. Wayfinder now follows the set through the switch.

Stray empty games no longer clutter your history. Opening a game and leaving again within a second or two could record an empty match with no opponent and no result. Those are recognised for what they are and skipped.

Games you leave part-way through are no longer counted as played matches. They stay in your history with the decks intact, but they no longer affect your record.

And the false "already under way" warning after a reload is gone. If you switched apps mid-game and came back, your browser may have quietly reloaded the page, and Wayfinder would warn that it joined late even though it had watched from the opening hand. It now remembers what it was recording, so a reload is just a reload.

Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Better diagnostics when a game doesn't record.

Wayfinder already kept a detailed private log of why it did or didn't record each game, but that log never left your device — so when a game went missing, we were guessing. It now travels with your account, which means a missed capture can be looked at directly instead of reproduced. It records the same kind of information your captured games already carry: your Karabast handle, lobby and game identifiers, and what the recorder decided. No card or chat text.

  • Version 1.22.11

    Released Aug 20, 2026 - 812.49 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
The "replay incomplete" warning no longer shows up on games it shouldn't.

Wayfinder warns you when a game was already under way as it started recording, because the turns before that can't be in the replay. It was getting that call wrong: games you'd sat and watched from the opening hand were being flagged the moment the mulligans finished, and the warning then stayed up for the rest of the match. Wayfinder now judges this from the board itself — a game nobody has played a card in is a game you haven't missed — so the warning appears only when the replay really is missing its beginning.

  • Version 1.22.10

    Released Aug 18, 2026 - 812.27 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
Wayfinder now tells you when a replay won't be complete.

If you turn Wayfinder on partway through a game, everything that already happened can't be recorded — the replay starts wherever you switched on, and switching on after the last card is played means there's no replay at all. Until now that was silent, and the match page simply showed nothing where the replay button belongs. Wayfinder now spots a game that's already under way and says so on the spot, so you know to turn it on at the lobby next time. Your game log and result are still recorded either way.

The in-game log also reads properly now. Card keywords like Piloting and Restore, and the resource costs a card was paid with, used to show up as raw text in the middle of a sentence; they now appear as the keyword and the cost symbol, the same way the game prints them.
